Every one know's that exercise is a great way to lose weight and/or improve health. However many people struggle with motivation
1. Commuting
Cycle or walk to work. Depending how far away from your work you live and how much traffic there is it might not take you any extra time at all. You'll get fitter, feel more alert when you get to work and reduce pollution all at the same time.
2. Exercise At Home
Many people use excuses such as "I don't have the time to go to the gym" or "the weather is too bad to go outside". You don't need expensive equipment to do this, a simple kalisthenics or yoga routine using body weight exercises and lasting 20-30 minutes is a great way to keep yourself in shape. It's much easier to make time for 20 minutes of exercise if you don't have to drive anywhere to do it.
3. Exercise With Friends
If you make plans to do exercise with another person you'll both feel more committed and it's often a lot more fun with company.
4. Sign Up For A Sports Team
Find a sport you like and organise a team. Most sports have weekly games so you'll at least be exercising once a week and it should encourage you to do more so you'll be able to play the sport better. Sports also tend to be more fun because you're distracted from the exertion of the exercise.
5. Sign Up For An Event
There are many cycling, running and walking events that you can enter. Choose one that will require you to be significantly fitter than you are now. The desire to do well on race day will motivate you to train.
6. Measure Your Progress
Many people find it very satisfying and motivating when they can see that they're improving. So find a way that you can measure your progress every couple of weeks. The measurement could be weight lost, reps of an exercise, running/cycling speed, resting heart rate or weight lifted. Don't go out trying to set a personal best every day though or you'll burn yourself out pretty quick.
